IP- According to a report by the Islamic Awqaf in Al-Quds, an estimated 50 thousand worshippers gathered at the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the weekly Friday prayers.

Iran Press/Middle East:  The significant turnout demonstrates the unwavering commitment of Palestinians and Muslims to their religious duties despite ongoing Israeli occupation.

However, it is disheartening to note that Israeli occupiers have escalated their security measures at the gates of the mosque. Occupation forces were seen spreading across the entrances, conducting thorough searches and demanding identification cards from worshippers. Such actions not only infringe upon the rights of individuals but also disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of this sacred place.

The increased presence of Israeli forces during Friday prayers has become a recurring issue, causing distress among worshippers who seek solace and spiritual connection within these holy grounds. This behavior by Israeli authorities raises concerns about their respect for religious freedom and human rights.

It is crucial for international bodies and organizations to address these violations and ensure that all individuals can exercise their right to worship freely without fear or intimidation. The Al-Aqsa Mosque holds immense significance for Muslims worldwide, and any attempts to restrict access or disrupt religious practices should be condemned.

As we witness thousands of worshippers gathering every week at this revered site, it serves as a reminder that despite all obstacles imposed by occupation forces, Palestinians remain steadfast in their determination to protect their religious heritage and maintain their presence in Al-Quds.
