The Third Iranian Film Festival 2025 will be held from February 16 to 22 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, thanks to the efforts of the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/Asia: Habib-Reza Arzani, the Cultural Attaché of Iran in Malaysia, stated that Iranian cinema acts as a bridge between history, culture, and art, offering global narratives of love, hope, and cultural coexistence. The 2025 festival is an opportunity for audiences to engage with these valuable stories.

Arzani further announced that five Iranian films, including The Dolphin Boy, In the Arms of a Tree, Fragrant, Goodbye Shirazi Girl, and Captain, will be showcased at the festival.

He emphasized that the festival will take place at four cinema centers, with prominent actors and directors from the films attending the opening ceremonies in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru.

“This cultural event offers a unique opportunity to experience the art of Iranian cinema and gain a deeper understanding of the rich history and culture of this land,” Arzani continued.

The 2025 Iranian Film Festival, supported by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Malaysia and in cooperation with Malaysian cinematic institutions, aims to foster cultural interactions between Iran and Malaysia through the exhibition of outstanding Iranian films.
