Tehran (IP)- Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Dr. Ehsan Khandouzi, and Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, have signed two memorandums of cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: The agreements include the creation of a joint free zone and insurance cooperation.

The signing took place during the visit of Uzbekistan's President Shaukat Mirzayev to Tehran.

The trip follows Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Tashkent in September 2022, which marked a turning point in relations between the two countries.

In addition to the memorandums, negotiations were held to establish an investment company for the transfer of Iranian technical know-how to Uzbekistan.

The agreements are part of plans to increase cooperation between the two nations in various sectors.
