Tehran (IP) - Iran's deputy health minister Iraj Harirchi stated that the number of hospitalized patients, patients in intensive care units (ICU), and deaths have been declining in recent weeks in Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking in a live video presser held at Health Ministry on May 09, Iraj Harirchi stressed that any resumption of businesses and guilds must be done in strict compliance with health guidelines.

"Any increase in public attendance and resuming the operation of jobs that do not have significant economic implications can be harmful and dangerous in the spread of COVID-19," he added.

Referring that warm weather may not diminish coronavirus strength, Iran's deputy health minister warned people to need to be prepared for a second cycle of the COVID-19.

He stressed that the downward trend would continue in the following months, but in some provinces, there would be an upward trend, which, of course, cannot overshadow the statistics of the whole country.

Iran's deputy health minister referred to the allocation of one billion euros to the Ministry of Health, saying: "About 13,000 billion tomans have been allocated for combating against the coronavirus, and 5,000 billion tomans for the unemployment insurance fund."

He further explained that preventive measures and strengthening the country's health care system to fight against the Coronavirus have been considered with the cooperation of the Planning and Budget Organization and other agencies.
