Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman stated that the International Tehran Conference on Palestine aims to support Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, and put pressure on Israel to stop military strikes in Gaza.

Iran PressIran news:  Nasser Kanaani, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that lifting the siege on Gaza, and increasing humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza are the other important goals of the Tehran Conference on Palestine.

High-ranking government officials, prominent political, and religious, thinkers, and media personalities from more than 50 countries are participating in this one-day international meeting.

The day-long international meeting, to be held on Saturday, brings together senior state officials and prominent political,  religious, intellectual, and media figures from more than 50 countries,” Nasser Kanaani added.

He said the conference is being held in line with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s diplomatic efforts to support the resistance put up by the oppressed people of Palestine and brave Gazan people, adding, “An immediate end to the apartheid Zionist regime’s war crimes and genocide against the oppressed Palestinian nation are the demands of all those seeking their rights and justice and all conscientious humans across the globe.
