Iran Press/ Iran News: In Iran, preventive measures and plans to control the virus have been upgraded to the level of smart technologies, and brilliant scientific results have been obtained in this field.
In less than two months with tireless work in the fight against the coronavirus, creativity and talents in Iran in various dimensions from economy to health, are emerging.
In this regard, on Saturday with the presence of Iran’s Vice President for Science and Technology, Sorena Sattari, a number of technological products related to COVID-19 disease were unveiled, including rapid diagnostic kits, isolation and traffic control and disinfection control gates, and the TAK application, which is consist of nutrition, safety, coronavirus.
Now, with the hard work of the medical staff of the country, using the capabilities of knowledge-based companies, and the scientific and technological progress of the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), achievements of this great movement are evident.
Iran has made a scientific leap, especially in the field of medicine and medical equipment, and it can help other countries to deal with the coronavirus crisis.
For the first time in Iran, Researchers at the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran designed and manufactured the COVID-19 diagnostic system using the artificial intelligence algorithm through CT scans of the chest.
Hamidreza Rabiei, director of Advanced Information and Communication Technology Center at the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, referred to Canada, Romania and Indonesia's requests to use the Iranian new product, saying: "The use of medical systems requires legal and ethical measures. Measures are being taken and the product will soon be sent to applicants.”
Rabiei emphasized: “The system is provided free of charge to doctors and medical centers around the world so that due to a large number of patients, it can help doctors in the rapid and accurate diagnosis of COVID-19.”
In this regard, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) also has had an active role. The production of atmospheric cold plasma (ACP) for cancer therapy and the manufacture of various compounds for pharmaceutical applications as well as newborn screening and early diagnosis of diseases are among the achievements of the AEOI in the field of nuclear medicine.
The scientific achievements are a sign of a great leap in the field of science, technology, and research in the country. The achievements that were previously exclusive to several developed countries are now in the hands of Iranian experts.
Scientific rankings and technological innovations in Iran have continued to grow with the steps taken a few years ago in the direction of having a resilient economy.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has emphasized the need for continued scientific growth in the country and considered scientific achievements as the basis of creating hope and motivation for greater successes in the Second Phase of the Revolution.
He said on Twitter: “The scientific progress of Iran after the Islamic Revolution is not something we claim. It’s what the scientific databases in the world acknowledge, saying the fastest rate of scientific growth in the whole world in recent years is in Iran.”
The opening of new horizons in the field of science and technology in the difficult conditions of dealing with the coronavirus, while improving the health situation to contain the virus, can be a good platform for Iran to shine in the international arena.
