Iran Press/ Iran news: Tabriz Tourism and Handicrafts exhibition is held with the aim of introducing tourism and handicrafts capacities of different provinces of Iran.
The exquisite art of Iranians, including hand-woven carpets, mosaic work, enameling, wood carving, carpet weaving, as well as local bread and food and black tents of Iranian nomads, has been introduced and displayed for people and tourists at the Tourism and Handicrafts Exhibition in Tabriz.
"Maryam Jalali", Deputy Director of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran, while attending the Tabriz Tourism and Handicrafts Exhibition, said in an interview with an Iran Press reporter, that handicrafts carry with them the identity of a nation and are known in the world.
Jalali stated that handicrafts are Iran's identity-based economy and can play an important role in exporting and introducing Iranian culture.
Çetin Taner, Turkish Consul General in Tabriz, while visiting Iran's Tourism and Handicrafts Exhibition, said in an interview with Iran Press that the exhibitions are a good opportunity for the exchange of tourists.
The Turkish Consul General in Tabriz stated that experience has shown that the joint activity and cooperation of travel and tourism companies of Iran and Türkiye can lead to the expansion of the tourism industry.
"Yashar Malfouzi", producer of Tabriz hand-woven carpets, also said in an interview with Iran Press reporter that Tabriz has been introduced as the cradle of the world's carpets with its historical carpets, and this exquisite Iranian art is permanent in the art history of Iran and the world.
Cevdet ÖZGÖKÇE, Regional Manager of Eastern Anatolia Travel and Tourism Holding, told Iran Press reporter at the Tabriz Tourism and Handicrafts Exhibition, "Van" Turkish travel agency attaches great importance to Iran's tourism target markets.
The second international tourism exhibition and the tenth national handicrafts exhibition of Iran will be held for four days, from October 18 to 21, 2023, at the permanent venue of international exhibitions in Tabriz, and it has been well received by people, tourists and Iran-lovers.
