Minsk (IP): The Iranian ambassador to Belarus and the country's Minister of Sports and Tourism discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of sports and tourism.

Iran PressEurope: Saeed Yari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Minsk, met with Belarusian Minister of Sports and Tourism Sergey Kovalchuk on Wednesday to explain Iran's sports and tourism capacities.

He stressed the readiness of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts to expand interactions with Belarus. He called for establishing a specialized working group on sports and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Belarus also considered the establishment of a direct flight from Tehran to Minsk and the facilitation of the issuance of group tourist visas as very important for the prosperity of tourism between the two countries and called for Belarus' cooperation in this regard.

In this meeting, the Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus referred to the extraordinary capacities of the two countries in sports and tourism, emphasizing the further expansion of interactions and cooperation between Iran and Belarus in these fields.
