Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran Supreme National Security Council

Tehran (IP) - Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has said a strong Iran without a strong parliament is an unattainable dream.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a tweet on Wednewsday  Ali Shamkhani added: "In a democratic religious system, political participation is the only way to create a strong parliament."

"Any Iranian who wants a strong Iran will vote on election day," he wrote.

The secretary of SNSC called for the participation of all the people in this election, with the hashtag of 'maximum turnout'.

On Friday 21st February, huge masses of Iranian people will take part in the eleventh round of parliamentary elections nationwide, and will choose their representatives and send them to the national parliament (the Majlis).
