Iran Press/Iran News: On the sideline of the unveiling ceremony of Khajeh Nasiroudin Toosi University's driving simulator system on Wednesday in the university's Mechanical Engineering Department, Manouchehr Manteqi in response to Iran Press said that one very important subject today is having a smart and intelligent public transportation system.
Smart transportation is applied in three areas, first, security which monitors the actions of the driver, increasing the drivers' awareness and alerting them if they fall asleep whilst driving, and also warning the driver to keep a reasonable distance from other vehicles on the road, the official noted.
Manteqi added: "Connecting transportation systems to a central headquarters to provide services equally to all, like Snapp offering services to over a million customers in Tehran, by having a smart transportation system the best possible services will be offered to the public with minimum costs.
Manteqi went on to say that controlling and monitoring the vehicle's parts like its engine before it gets in a critical condition and alerting the driver in time to carry out repairs is very important and increases the security of vehicles.
