Chabahar (IP) - Pakistan's Prime Minister called Iran and Pakistan more than just neighbors describing their relationship as relations of kinship.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the joint news conference with the Iranian President on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Polan-Gabad electricity transmission line on Thursday Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, said that the joint cooperation inaugurated today is a new chapter between the two countries, and said: "We have no doubt that Iran and Pakistan are brothers and their relations are more than just neighbors, they have kinship relations."

The Prime Minister of Pakistan further considered the establishment of border markets between the two countries as the beginning of a new era of making efforts for the development of the region and added that the inauguration of the electricity transmission line is also a source of great pleasure, and appreciated the Minister of Energy and the Iranian staff involved in the implementation of this project.

Stating that the two countries have a lot of capacity to develop bilateral cooperation, he said: "In the talks, we had with the President of Iran, there were discussions about removing obstacles to the expansion of cooperation, and with the visit of Ayatollah Raisi to Pakistan in the near future, I hope that the fields of development of these interactions will be as fast as possible."

Emphasizing that on this historic day, we should lay a new foundation for the development of relations between the two countries, the Prime Minister of Pakistan stated: "Improving border security plays an important role in the development of relations between the two countries, and we will use all our efforts in this field."
