Iran Press/ Iran news: Hamed Hosseini, the director of the Clinical Trial Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, said on Monday: "The license for the second phase of Iranian corona vaccine human trial was issued last night, and this phase began today."
Hosseini stated that the Iranian vaccine will be injected into four volunteers by the end of this week, adding: "Early next week, the results of the second phase will be announced to the monitoring committee."
Referring to the general condition of the volunteers of the first phase of the Iranian vaccine human trial, he added: "Now these people are fine and everything is going well."
According to Hosseini, there are 56 volunteers in this phase that will be vaccinated in 2 months. The vaccine is given to the volunteers twice, in other words, the vaccine is given to them within two weeks.
Phase one of the human trial of the first COVID-19 vaccine developed by Iranian researchers called 'Cov Iran Barekat' began on December 29.
