Saudi Arabia (IP) - The cabinet of Saudi Arabia says that the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Denmark is a clear violation of international laws and traditions.

Iran PressMiddle East: In a cabinet session chaired by the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Denmark was strongly condemned and considered a sheer violation of international laws and traditions.

The Saudi cabinet members said the blasphemous action was contrary to international efforts to eradicate hatemongering and spread the values such as moderation and tolerance, calling on the relevant bodies to prevent such incidents.

An extremist named Selvan Momika, who insulted the Holy Quran in Stockholm on June 28, insulted the Holy Quran for the second time after obtaining permission from the Swedish police.

The Swedish Court of Appeals showed the green light to the perpetrators of the crime. Two weeks after Sweden's appeals court overturned the police ban on anti-Quran demonstrations, the police issued a permit, and the demonstration organizer burned a copy of the Holy Quran, resulting in worldwide protest and condemnation.
