Iran Press/ Africa: Pointing to the importance of the Arbaeen messages, Shiite cleric and the leader of Shi'as in Nigeria, Ibrahim Zakzaky, told Iran Press that there is no other way out to save the world except the path of resistance, which was shown and taught by Imam Hussain (A.S.) at Karbala.
Imam Hussain (A.S.) is the third Imam of Shia and the second grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
"I will start by extending condolence to all our maraji, and particularly the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, and the Muslim ummah entirely on these difficult days of mourning, the days of Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (A.S.), since the beginning of last month up till this time, it is Arbaeen time and indeed until the end of the month of Safar, is all time of mourning," said the Shiite cleric.
Sheikh Zakzaky pointed out the efforts of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and said that the significance of Arbaeen shows the actual reason why Imam Hussain (A.S.) sacrificed his life and the lives of his family and those of his companions at Karbala.
Imam Hussain's (A.S.) sacrifices have not gone in vain, added Sheikh Zakzaky, saying that now people are realizing the significance of his sacrifice.
The call was made by Imam Hussain, who said: "Is there anyone who can help us?" No one answered in the desert of Karbala except his son, Imam Zain-Ul-Abideen, who was sick then. This call made by Imam Hussain (A.S.) has not been in vain. All these people (pilgrims) in Karbala are answering Imam Hussain's (A.S.) call by saying Labbayk ya Hussain, according to Sheikh Zakzaky.
The leader of the Islamic Movement went on to say that one day, people in the world will turn to the path of resistance, looking for salvation.
He added that the reason Imam Hussain (A.S.) sacrificed his life will turn to the reason for the victory of justice over oppression.
"With this number of Arbaeen pilgrims you are seeing, the people are beyond mere mourning. The pilgrims are making alive the call of Imam Hussain (A.S.) which one day (God willing) the whole world will realize that his path (resistance) is the path of salvation and it is the only way out for this world which is now sinking in kind of a mess, not knowing where to go," shared Sheikh Zakzaky with Iran Press.
He noted that Imam Hussain (A.S.) has come to save the ummah and return it to the teaching of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), which will happen God willing.
