Iran Press/Iran News: In the national conference of the Foundation for Preservation of Sacred Defense Values, Iran’s Police Chief Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari stated that if it were not for the Sacred Defense (the 8-year Iraqi imposed war against Iran), Iran would not have been able to confront the seditions of this period against the hypocrites and the enemies of the Islamic Revolution.
Noting that the Iranian nation has achieved good progress, he added that given the threats posed by the United States, Britain, Israel, and their allies in various fields, Iran continues to stand victorious.
Ashtari stressed that the country's success in defense, nuclear, and medical issues was due to its resistance.
He pointed out that the Sacred Defense was a great reserve, the dimensions of which would become apparent over time.
Referring to the COVID outbreak in the country, Ashtari pointed out that the police forces had a unique role in fighting the virus.
He added that the police, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), and the Basij used all their equipment to disinfect public places.
In providing services to the patients, police hospitals were alongside others, and the police had done a great job in combating traffic jams to create social distance and traffic restrictions in the country, he highlighted.
Referring to the leader of the Islamic Revolution's statements that the British, French, American vaccines were banned, he said: "So far the tests of the vaccine produced in the country have had good results, and we will succeed in this issue as well."
