Iran Press/ Iran News: Deveining a speech at the Memorial Ceremony of Martyr Bakeri on Thursday evening, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the Sacred Defense was an arena for individual and collective ordeals including developing one's good soul, governance, teamwork, etc.
Ghalibaf said that during the Sacred Defense, people of different walks of life and ages, from both inside the country and abroad, gathered and formed a coherent organization, the people-oriented feature of which was spectacular.
The parliament speaker said the Basiji and Sacred Defense culture, age, race, and education were not considered criteria, noting that the Sacred Defense by nature was an arena in which the capacities of the people flourished.
He referred to such a person as Marty Mahdi Bakeri as one of the talents that flourished in the Sacred Defense era and influenced the people around him through his good behavior, saying if there was no Islamic Revolution of Sacred Defense such talents would not be realized.
Ghalibaf concluded that the belief in God and endeavor as factors leading Iran to victory as they led Iran to defeat the Ba'athist regime of Saddam during the Sacred Defense against the 8-year imposed war in 1980.
