Iran Press/Iran News: A Member of the scientific committee and the head of the Royan virology laboratory, Mehdi Toutounchi in an exclusive interview with Iran Press noted that amid the spread of the Coronavirus in Iran since we had no virology laboratory in Iran, Royan genetics institute has changed its activity to diagnose COVID-19 tests.
"A voluntary team was formed and this laboratory set up to provide services for hospitals and research centers in Tehran, but we have no limitation in receiving samples from other provinces," Toutounchi said.
Regarding the number of samples received per day, Toutounchi highlighted that about 370 samples are examined per se, and since we try to reply on the same day due to the patients' condition who is in ICU, there is no time limit.
"Our colleagues will not leave here as are reports are fully prepared," he said. 101/207
