Iran Press/ Iran News: Hassan Rouhani at the meeting of the National Task Force for Combating Corona on Saturday morning said: "People have been grappling with the dangerous coronavirus for more than four months. 123 days have passed since the beginning of the infection, which according to the Ministry of Health was at the last mid-February, and in these 123 days, the Iranian people, healthcare staff, and all officials and people had a good and comprehensive fight against this virus.
Stating that now is not the time to end the confrontation with Corona, the president said: "Neither the world nor the healthcare system has announced a specific time for the end of the disease. Vaccines and treatments are not definitive, the behavior of the virus is changing slightly, and there is no complete and stable change. As they have stated, it will not go away on its own, so let us prepare ourselves for a long-term confrontation.
Rouhani said: "A person who does not observe health protocol and not make himself quarantined, makes other infected. So we are involved in the spread and transmission of this disease, in this regard we should help each other, especially the elderly and those with underlying disease."
"What the Ministry of Health is emphasizing is the issue of social distancing that needs to be addressed," he said. "Let's not attend gatherings, observe personal hygiene, and use masks. The mask can be effective in preventing the spread of the disease and cutting this chain.
According to the President, one of the decisions of the National Task Force for Combating Corona today is to approve and announce the plan to mandate the use of masks in the necessary places in the next one or two weeks.
