Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's President Hassan Rouhani in a telephone conversation with the governor of Iran's Central Bank, Abdul Nasser Hemmati, on Friday criticized the blocking of the Iranian resources by South Korea, which is in line with US anti-human policies and its maximum pressure on the nation of Iran and instructed the governor of the Central Bank, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to pursue the issue through bilateral policy and legal channels, financial institutions and international organizations.
He added: "It is never acceptable that South Korea blocks Iran's use of its resources to buy basic goods, medicine, and humanitarian items, and we expect the South Korean government to lift this restriction as soon as possible."
Earlier, the head of the Central Bank of Iran said the actions of South Korean banks were preventing Iran from using the money to buy foods and medicines, which is exempted from US sanctions.
