Iran Press/ Europe: Rome is the capital city of Italy. It is also the capital of the Lazio region, the center of the Metropolitan City of Rome.
Rome celebrates its 2776th birthday, known as Natale di Roma. The annual celebration commemorates the founding of Rome by Romulus in the year 753 BC.
According to the IranPress news agency, Parades, historical re-enactments, free museums, and important inaugurations, all happened in the central streets of Rome, on the Natale di Roma on Sunday.
Other Europeans also participated in the ancient parade which is held every year.
Thousands of people in the Italian capital visited the parade of gladiators and ancient Roman soldiers.
Holding the ancient ritual, in addition to reminding Italian citizens of the history of ancient Rome, is another way to attract foreign tourists.
