Iran Press/ Iran News: The opening ceremony of the Revolution Art Week is scheduled to be held on Sunday, April 9, at Beheshte- Zahra, Tehran. (Behesht-e Zahra is the largest cemetery in Iran and is located in the southern part of metropolitan Tehran).
Ali Farouzanfar, Secretary of Revolution Art Week, said: In order to keep the memory of Martyr Avini and to promote the art of the Islamic Revolution, April 10 has been named the 'Day of Revolution Art.'
Sayyid Morteza Avini was an Iranian documentary filmmaker, author, and theoretician of Islamic Cinema, who was martyred on April 9, 1993, on his 45.
Farouzanfar said: By tomorrow, 31 provinces in the country will have also organized various ceremonies to commemorate Martyr Avini.
He pointed out: This year, the amount and level of awards have increased by three times.
