Iran Press/Iran news: General Salami made the remarks on Monday at the ceremony of honoring the commanders and officials who have narrated the oral history of the Sacred Defense.
IRGC chief commander emphasized that the enemy has tightened the siege in the field of economic pressure, saying, "But the resistance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is a result of his wisdom because he knows the formulas for overcoming problems and is aware of the resistance of the nation. Today, the name of Iran is known in the world with dignity and authority. They know that this country wants peace, dignity, and power. In today's world, one must be either weak, humiliated and submissive, or dear, strong, and powerful. There is no middle way."
Without resistance and power, one cannot stand against the enemy, he said.
"This is a heartwarming and fascinating picture of a nation's resistance. We have decided to walk this path to the end with our Leader."
General Salami went on to say that the cohesion and strength of the nation, not fearing the death, and pursuing its Leader's path, caused the defeat of the enemy during the times of Sacred Defense, the 8-year of Iran-Iraq war.
Iran's Leader shattered the enemy's political aspirations and did not allow them to pursue their political goals in the Islamic world, he concluded.
The ceremony of honoring the commanders and officials who have narrated the oral history of the Sacred Defense was held in the presence of the Chief Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami.
On Monday morning, a ceremony honoring the commanders and officials who have narrated the oral history of the Sacred Defense, as well as honoring the families of the martyrs, was held at the National Exhibition of Achievements of Sacred Defense and Resistance entitled “Eqtedar- (Authority) 40.”
