Iran Press/ Iran News: In his press conference held on May 19, 2023, Alireza Daneshi stated: "In the administration of the current Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, attention was paid to knowledge-based centers, and in 2022, there was a plan to define knowledge and pay attention to it with nearly 1,500 billion tomans."
Pointing to the great potential of the Iranian oil industry and the capacities of domestic companies, the official said: “Knowledge-based production has been considered a priority in National Iranian South Oil Company because focusing on this issue can help the country's oil industry achieve new horizons.”
He said: "In the oil sector, for the first time after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, we were able to auction and sell 64 million cubic feet of Mashal gas in the Masjed Soleiman area."
As the other keynote speaker, the Deputy Minister of Petroleum & CEO of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), Jalil Salari elaborated on intentions of fuel smuggling, saying: "Considering the price difference with neighboring countries, smuggling looks beneficial for smugglers."
He emphasized that fuel smuggling should be stopped and banned seriously by applying new technologies.
