New York (IP) - Iran's President told the US media managers in an address that the money released from South Korea would be spent for the Iranian nation.

Iran PressAmerica: Heading a high-level political delegation, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on Monday to attend the 78th United Nations General Assembly.

As the first event upon his arrival in New Your, Ebrahim Raisi held a meeting with the American media managers to answer some of their questions.

The questions posed dealt with releasing the Iranian assets blocked in other countries, the Iran-US prisoner swap, and the possibility of other agreements between the US and Iran.

In response to the question about the money released, Raisi pointed out: "The money which was cruelly blocked and is now being delivered to the Islamic Republic, belongs to the Iranian people and we will spend it to fulfil the people's needs."

"I repeat it; the money delivered to us belongs to the Iranian people and we will spend it to fulfil the people's needs," Raisi reiterated. The future of Iran's regional relations with its neighbors, including Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, were among the other questions.
