In a meeting with Mauritania’s President, Iran'a President expressed hope that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League can help stop the criminal attacks of the Zionist regime as soon as possible, lift the blockade, and provide aid to the people in Gaza, adding that today the need to strengthen relations between Islamic countries is felt more than ever.

Iran PressWest Asia: On the sidelines of the joint meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League in Riyadh, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi met with the President of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, stated that there is no obstacle to the development of relations between the two countries and we are ready to develop bilateral relations in various economic, cultural and political fields”.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has said that the normalization of ties with the Zionist regime by certain countries emboldened the regime and caused miscalculations for it, describing the normalization as a stab in the back of the Palestinian resistance.

Raisi made the comment in his meeting with Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani on Saturday. The two met in the Saudi capital Riyadh on the sidelines of a joint summit by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League on the Gaza war.

The Iranian president expressed hope that the summit could help bring an end to the Zionist regime’s war on Gaza as soon as possible and lead to the lifting of the siege of the territory.

Mauritania’s President, for his part, praised Raisi for the speech he made at the summit earlier in the day and expressed hope that the Islamic Republic’s stance towards Gaza helps improve the situation there.

Also in their talks, the two presidents discussed relations between Iran and Mauritania, with both expressing readiness to expand mutual cooperation.  219
