Iran Press/ Africa: This is the first visit by an Arab leader to Tunisia since the country's presidential election and the third visit of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad in three years.
Qatar Amir was welcomed upon arrival at Tunis-Carthage International Airport by the President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied, and a number of high-ranking Tunisian officials.
He said in a press conference that the visit emphasizes the exceptional nature of distinguished relationships that unites Tunisia in Qatar in particular, and it comes a few months after the election of Tunisian President Qais Said and assuming his duties as head of state.
He expressed his aspiration for this official visit to be an occasion to enhance coordination and consultation between the two countries and give additional impetus to economic and investment partnerships and renew support and support for the democratic and economic transition in Tunisia, with a view to upgrading distinguished cooperation to the level of solidarity and effective partnership.
