US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was heckled by a protester, who shouted against US's immigration policy as he was blasting Iran.

Mike Pompeo was giving a speech at Reagan Forum in Simi Valley Sunday night, condemning the Iranian government when a protester from across the crowded hall shouted, President Trump "is kidnapping children," reference to US President Donald Trump's immigration policies that have led to children being separated by their family at the border.

US Secretary of State was talking about  the need for diplomatic and media campaigns against Iran as rhetoric between the two countries' escalated.

While that was happening, Us President Trump engaging in a war of words with Iranian president Hassan Rouhani.

In a direct, all-caps threat on Twitter Trump responded angrily to Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani's suggestion that the US is "playing with the lion's tail", warning of severe “consequences.”

As Trump is trading war of words with Iran, his policy that saw migrant children separated from their parents at the border drew vast condemnation

That zero tolerance policy means all adults who cross the border illegally are to be prosecuted, even those who make credible fear claims to seek asylum. The government has taken any children of individuals facing prosecution into their care while cases are processed. Mr Trump's executive order sought to end that separation, but did not indicate that adults seeking asylum would not continue to be prosecuted.

In a statement issued by the UN's Human Rights Council, experts said the president's recent executive order, ostensibly to halt the controversial separations, failed to resolve the problem and "may lead to indefinite detention of entire families in violation of international human rights standards".
