Iran Press/ Iran News: In Hossein Amir-Abdollahian's phone conversation with Russian Foreign Ministers, Sergey Lavrov, two sides discussed "Vienna talks" resumption on the revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action dubbed as JCPOA.
Amir-Abdollahian noted the agreement reached with EU's Enrique Mora on the timing of the Vienna talks with the P4 + 1, stressed that the EU and US should abide by JCPOA provisions and avoid making excessive demands.
Iran FM said that "taking into account the experience and trends of previous negotiations, Iran will work hard to defend its interests during the upcoming negotiations."
Iran and the remaining signatories to the JCPOA have held six rounds of talks with no results.
Ali Bagheri, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, announced that the Vienna talks would start on November 29 to remove the illegal and inhumane sanctions.
No doubt we are serious in nuclear talks
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told Lavrov that there should be no doubt in the seriousness of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the talks and stressed the need for all parties to return to their obligations.
Iranian FM condemned new US sanctions against Iran and said: Although we doubt Americans' intentions, if they fully return to their obligations and don't make excessive demands, Iran will in turn return to fulfilling its obligations.
AmirAbdollahian also asked IAEA Director General to refrain from adopting politically motivated stances on Iran and, referring to the constructive cooperation of Iran with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), noted that Iran will continue technical collaboration with the IAEA.
