Tehran (IP) - A candidate of the 13th round of Iran's presidential election emphasized uprooting corruption in a TV program, adding that the roots of corruption should be dried up in the executive and administrative bodies.

Iran PressIran News: Ebrahim Raisi said that he had participated in the elections to solve the problems, sufferings, disappointments, and shortcomings.

He said: "If I couldn't do anything, I would not have entered the campaign; the fight against corruption and discrimination is one of the important tasks of the administration, and it is possible to eradicate poverty and unemployment in the country."

He called for a change in the status quo with the help of people and political groups.

He stated that his government would serve production and people.
