Iran Press/ Iran News: On the occasion of the beginning of the government week in Iran, President Ebrahim Raisi and his cabinet members renewed allegiance to the ideals and paid tribute to the late Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, on Tuesday morning.
Government week in Iran is named after the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, former president Mohammad Ali Rajaei and prime minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar.
The two and several other officials were assassinated in 1981 when they had convened at the Tehran office of the Iranian prime minister in a meeting of Iran’s Supreme Defense Council, and a bomb explosion ripped through the building.
