In the meeting with France president

New York (IP) - Stating that France can be much more effective in stopping the crimes of the Zionist regime, the President of Iran said: "Today, the people of Iran and the region are severely affected by the crimes of the Zionist regime, and the continuation of these crimes can get the situation out of control."

Iran Press/America: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian in a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday evening in New York, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has shown restraint in response to the Zionist regime to prevent the escalation of tensions and conflicts in the region, but the Zionist regime has intensified its crimes in Gaza and has now attacked Lebanon.
Pezeshkian added: "By what rule can the crimes of the Zionists be justified, which the United States and some Western countries, including France, describe their aggressions as legitimate self-defense!"

Pezeshkian said: "If an atrocity is committed against a person in one of the independent countries today, the human rights claimants will mobilize all the public opinion of the world against it, but in Gaza and Lebanon, thousands of innocent people have been killed and no voice has been heard from these claimants."
He added: Western countries should stop applying double standards because this situation and mere verbal condemnation have made the Zionist regime even more arrogant.
Iran's President also stated that France can act much more effectively in stopping the crimes of the Zionist regime.

Saying that my government seeks to create harmony and unity inside the country and in the region and to create a constructive interaction with the neighbors, he clarified: We aim to build a world based on peace and preserve the dignity of all human beings. We are ready to cooperate and interact with European countries on this basis.

Pezeshkian: Iran is ready to talk about resolving the nuclear issue

Declaring Iran's readiness to talk about resolving international issues, including the nuclear issue, he noted that Iran has never sought nuclear weapons and never will.

He added: Of course, we are working to strengthen our defense base and deterrence power in a conventional way, and in this regard, the situation in Gaza today is a lesson for us and all the countries of the world that if we are not strong, a criminal regime may attack us like this, but to remove the obstacles of Iran's development, we are ready to interact and talk.

In this meeting, "Emmanuel Macron" also expressed concern about the situation in the region especially the aggression of the Zionist regime in Lebanon, and said: "France has strongly condemned the aggression against Lebanon and we have used all our efforts to exert pressure and stop this aggression." 204
