The text of the Leader's decree is as follows:
In the name of God
Dr. Peyman Jebeli
At the end of the tenure of Dr. Ali-Askari, manifested with tireless and compassionate efforts, I appoint you, who have religious and revolutionary competence, and have extensive expertise and experience in the management of the IRIB, and are aware of the nature, function, and tasks of the national media, to chair that organization for a five-year term.
The national media is a university for raising public awareness and knowledge, and a place for confronting the hostile waves of distortion and deception, and a sanctuary for everyone to enjoy the effects of beauty and art, and a place to spread hope and joy in the country.
Cultural guidance, strengthening the spirit and sense of national and revolutionary identity, promoting the Islamic-Iranian way of life, and increasing national solidarity are priorities that should be achieved by fostering human resources and qualitative growth of programs and taking advantage of the initiative with round-the-clock efforts.
I express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Askari for his tireless efforts during his tenure, which is truly commendable.
The Leader elsewhere advised Jebelli to take advantage of the long-term and unfinished plans of Ali-Askari's term and asked God Almighty for his success.
