Iran Press/ Iran News: On the sidelines of Iran's Parliament open session on Sunday, Abolfazl Amouei stated that the 'Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions' law sets out various tasks for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), including the start of uranium enrichment to 20 percent or even more based on Iran's needs as well as activation of a new generation of centrifuges.
Noting that one of the aspects of the law is to stop surveillance beyond safeguards, he stated: "Parliament insists on enforcing its law and pursues it."
He pointed out that in cooperation with the IAEA, the parliamentarians insist on the implementation of the 'Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions' law and peruse it with might.
Amouie said that based on the negotiations between Iran and the IAEA, a delegation of the IAEA inspectors traveled to Iran to follow up on the agreement between the IAEA and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI); the agreement under which Iran has allowed the IAEA to change surveillance cameras' memories without access to the data recorded by the devices.
Amouei stated that although safeguards over Iran's nuclear facilities are routinely monitored, protocol monitoring has been suspended under Parliament's 'Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions' law.
