Iran Press/ Iran news: On the sidelines of Iran's Presidential swearing-in ceremony, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf met with Palestine's Ismail Haniyeh and stressed his country's commitment to supporting the resistance until the total liberation of the Israeli-occupied lands of Palestine, and that some states' normalization of ties with the regime would have no impact on the very commitment.
"The Zionists are never satisfied with less than the disintegration of the Islamic countries and the division among the Muslims, but the resistance of the Palestinian people plays an important role in defeating the Zionist conspiracies," he told Haniyeh.
Haniyeh, for his part, appreciated Iran's supports of the Palestinian nation in different conditions and said the Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation and government were the ever supporters of the Palestinian nation and resistance axis.
"The Palestinian people in the battle of Saif al-Quds (Quds Sword) showed that the only way to realize the rights of the Palestinian people and the Islamic Ummah was the line of resistance and struggle against the Israeli occupation regime, and they will continue this path with strength and confidence," he told Ghalibaf.
He emphasized that the Palestinian people were determined to fight for the recapture of the occupied territories, and the determination of the resistance to fight the Israeli regime would never diminish until the liberation of Palestine.
