London (IP) - Thousands of Palestinian supporters rallied on Wednesday evening ahead of the UK Parliament's second key vote on a motion to support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Iran PressEurope: Participants lined up in front of the British Parliament building to urge their representatives to support the ceasefire plan.

The demonstration comes just days after another protest in central London attended by more than 200,000 people, with police making a total of 12 arrests for various public order offenses.

The demonstrators also held handwritten notes and the Palestinian flag, demanding the liberation of the Palestinian land and the establishment of an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Supporters of Palestine in these anti-Israel rallies condemned any economic and political cooperation of the British government and British companies and banks with the Israeli regime and once again emphasized solidarity with the Palestinian nation.

The UK lawmakers called Wednesday for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war but only after dozens walked out of the House of Commons in protest at how the vote was handled.

The main opposition Labour Party, which is divided over how strongly to criticize Israel, submitted a tweaked version of the motion calling for an “immediate humanitarian cease-fire,” without the mention of collective punishment.

Several demonstrators in front of the British Parliament spoke to Iran Press reporter in London and demanded an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli regime's forces continue brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip, committing more crimes against defenseless Palestinians, leaving more than 29.000 dead and over 69,000 injured, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Health in Gaza. 219
