(IP) - Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip plan to hold their fourth annual joint drill this week to increase their readiness to face a possible attack by the Israeli regime.

Iran Press/Middle East: local media sources in Palestine said that the Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip are planning to hold a joint military drill under the title of Al-Rakan al-Shadid 4 this week.

The drill is supposed to be held on Tuesday this week in the framework of the military preparations of these groups to deal with any new attack by the Israeli regime.

Al-Rakan al-Shadid 3 was held last December with the participation of Palestinian groups last year in the north of the Gaza Strip.

last year's drill was held to test the reaction speed of the resistance groups to any incident and also evaluate the readiness of their fighters to confront the Zionist enemy, according to the Palestinian Quds News Agency.

Following the 11-day war in Gaza last year, Palestinian groups established a joint operations center. Throughout subsequent confrontations with the Israeli regime, both independently and cooperatively, this center was utilized and appropriate measures were taken to address the situation.
