Iran Press/America: The couple made between $172m and $640m, according to financial disclosures analyzed by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
The daughter and son-in-law of the former president announced they would not take a salary while working in the administration and reportedly stepped away from daily operations at their companies during Trump’s term. But the pair’s alleged extra incomes have raised further alarms for lawmakers and ethics groups who have been chronicling concerns about whether the family profited from Trump being in office.
The report claimed his daughter’s ownership stake in the Trump Hotel in Washington DC, which the government watchdog group described as a "locus of influence-peddling in the Trump administration", earned Ivanka more than $13m since 2017. It also allegedly found she also made up to $1m from her namesake brand a year after she filed disclosure with the government that its operations ceased in 2018, and said her applications for foreign trademarks "may have been her biggest accomplishment" while her father was president.
Kushner, for example, was also accused of not divesting his stake in real estate investment platform Cadre despite his wife's role in an administration program from which the company benefited.
