Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking on Monday at the International Conference on Ashura Movement and Its Impressions from the Perspectives of Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Seyyed Morteza Qazvini said, "Like Imam Hussein (PBUH), the third Shia Imam, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini sacrificed his son and was ready to sacrifice his life and was also a man of sincerity."
The Iraqi cleric expressed hope that all movements that are taking place in Islamic countries, would be the prelude to the reappearance of Imam Mahdi and the full implementation of Islam.
International Conference on Ashura Movement and Its Impressions from the Perspectives of Imam Khomeini was held on Monday on the occasion of the death anniversary of Imam Khomeini, which falls on June 3 this year, with the attendance of various religious figures and intellectuals from around the world via video conferencing due to COVID-19 social distancing.
