Number of Coronavirus cases small, yet controlled: Health Ministry Spox.

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education said the number of coronavirus infections in Iran 'is small, and the disease is being controlled'.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Kianoush Jahanpour said on Saturday that 6 laboratories have been devoted to testing and identifying coronavirus cases.

Depending on the needs, the spokesman said, medical facilities will be provided throughout the country.

The outbreak of coronavirus also known as COVID-19 in Iran was first detected on 19 February, when health authorities in Qom confirmed the death of two elderly people as a result of the first incidence of the disease in Iran.
