Iranian President:

Tehran (IP) - During the meeting of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, Iranian President announced the reduction of the number of cities with red status to 12.

Iran PressIran news: President Hassan Rouhani stated during the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus meeting on Saturday: "With the measures taken since the past two months, the spread of this disease in the vast majority of provinces, except for a few cases, is decreasing and the situation is very promising."

Rouhani added: "People have been facing a dangerous virus for about 10 months, and during this period, very good measures have been taken. However, with the measures taken in the past two months, today we are witnessing a better situation in a majority of provinces."

"In today's report, we saw that only 12 cities are considered as red zones and the rest are orange and yellow, and with the efforts of governors, and presidents of medical universities, these 12 cities will return to yellow and orange status soon," President Rouhani added.

According to Rouhani, the disease impacts economic, cultural, social, and many other issues, and has caused negative economic growth in the world as well as a very severe impact on employment.
