Tehran (IP) - Search crews reached the site of the Iranian President Crashed Helicopter said no signs of life were found Monday after locating a helicopter that crashed while carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other senior officials including Iranian Foreign Minister in the country’s northwest, the president of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Pir-Hossein Kolivand said.

The President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has confirmed that rescue and search teams have identified President Ebrahim Raisi’s crashed chopper.

There is "no sign of life" at the crash site of a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hussein Amirabdollahian, and seven others, officials and state TV say.

The incident occurred as a result of dense fog in the region, which is making conditions difficult for rescue teams.

The helicopter was transporting President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and several other officials when it encountered difficulties and was forced to make a "hard landing." The incident happened in the Dizmar forest, between the cities of Varzaqan and Jolfa.
