Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs says no nuclear negotiations will be held in late November Vienna talks and the talks will be concentrated solely on the lifting of sanctions.

Iran PressIran news: "We do not have a nuclear negotiation in Vienna because the nuclear issue was fully solved in 2015 in the form of an agreement reached between Iran and the P5 + 1," Ali Bagheri-Kani said on Wednesday.

According to the Iranian deputy foreign minister, the negotiations rather address the consequences of the US withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and are focused on the illegal sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He referred to France's chairmanship of the EU in the next year highlighting the potential role of France in the regional interactions and the process of the negotiations that will be held on November 29, 2021, in Vienna between Iran and P4+1.

After the US illegally withdrew the internationally signed JCPOA on May 8, 2018, Iran tried to remain committed to the deal provided that the other parties remained committed too, but the European parties failed to fulfill obligations in implementing the agreement.
