Iran Press/Africa: Shortly after the Friday prayer, Sheikh Imam Ya'aqoub Kurna stood up in the Friday mosque and held a brief awareness to the Muslim ummah on the importance of rising their voices for the support of Palestine and Lebanon.
After the brief awareness, the anti Israeli protest started with people carrying flags of Palestine and Lebanon as well as photos of resistance Martyrs including the former Iranian President, Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi, Hamas leaders, Ismail Haniyah and Yahya Sinwar, Hezbollah leaders, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safiedddine among others.
While chanting pro Palestine and anti Israeli slogans, the protesters marched through major streets of the ancient city.
In an exclusive interview with Iran Press during the protest, Ali Dan'asabe, who's one of the leaders of the protest said resistance is the only way to deal with the illegitimate state of Israel who spent many decades murdering thousands of people in the Middle East.
"Actually, resistance is the only way and the hard way for eliminating the Zionists regime. There's no any other way. If the Muslim unite as Sayyed Qa'id (leader of the Islamic Revolution) said, then we will be able to eliminate the Zionism. Imam Khomeini said that if every Muslim could contribute with one bucket of water, we could wash away the Zionism.But unfortunately, the division among Muslims is the causes of existence of Zionism. Therefore, we have to be united as the leader of the Islamic Revolution called for, so that we resist, we take arms to fight the Zionists regime and eliminate it from the world. This is the only way we can stop the genocide," he emphasized.
