Niamey (IP) - The exclusive interviews of the Iranpress correspondent in Niamey with several protesting people of Niger clearly shows that the people of this country no longer want France.

Iran PressAfrica: On Saturday evening, the people of Niger held the largest anti-French demonstration in front of the French military base in Niamey, the capital of Niger, and during this demonstration, Iranpress correspondent talked to several demonstrators.

One of the demonstrators told the Iranpress correspondent, "We stress to the President of France, the people of Niger are united and the French military must leave Niger, and the people of this country will be in the streets until this would be realized."

During the anti-French demonstration in Niamey, a young Nigerian girl told Iranpress correspondent that Niger wants to be free and France should leave the territory of Niger.

Abd al-Rahman Mohammadu, a Nigerian man, also told the Iranpress correspondent that the French army should leave the territory of Niger and that the French military have been present in Niger for 13 years.

This Nigerian protester stated that the anti-French demonstrations will continue until the French troops leave the territory of Niger, and the people of Niger are against the French policy towards Africa, including their country.

During the anti-French demonstration in Niamey, a Nigerian woman told Iranpress correspondent, the worthy children of Niger demand the immediate withdrawal of the French army from the territory of Niger, and the people of Niger will stay in Niamey day and night until victory against the French military base.

Nigerian demonstrators on Saturday evening in front of the French military base in Niamey chanted the slogans "Death to France", "Death to Macron", "Death to the bloodthirsty army", as well as "Long live free and independent Niger" and "Long live the current government of Niger".

A large and widespread demonstration of the people of Niger was held in Niamey in the rain.
