Middle East(IP)- Muslim Countries called for the confrontation of the religious war and the desecration of the sanctities of the Islamic Ummah.

Iran PressMiddle East: Following the insulting actions of the Swedish authorities against Islamic holy places, the Swedish police issued a permit to hold another gathering with the aim of desecrating the Holy Quran. Swedish police have allowed anti-Islamists to set fire to Holy Quran (Muslim holy book) in front of a mosque in Stockholm.

According to Al-Ahed base, Lebanon's Supreme Islamic Assembly of Shi'as in a statement on Wednesday night condemned the agreement of the Swedish police to desecrate the Holy Quran and called it a clear enmity with the Islamic Ummah and a clear violation of religious freedom and an insult to all believers in the world, especially Muslims. knew

The Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq called for the Arab and Islamic world to take a serious stand against this religious and cultural war, which has been started by the West and global Zionism with the aim of spreading a deviant and vile culture to insult religious and human values.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan, in response to the efforts in Sweden to insult the Holy Quran, emphasized that sacrilege of the Holy Book of Muslims does not mean freedom of speech anyway.

Amman stressed that burning the Holy Quran is one of the hateful and dangerous actions and one of the manifestations of Islamophobia that incites violence and insults to religions, and it absolutely cannot be considered as a type of freedom of speech.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the National Salvation Government of Yemen announced that the desecration of the Quran is a completely unacceptable and racially provocative crime, and the Swedish government is responsible for this crime, which has nothing to do with the freedom of opinion and expression that Western countries repeat.

Sanaa warned about the consequences of these provocations and added that this discourse is a form of violence and terrorism and a violation of international agreements and treaties, which calls for the protection of freedom of religion and opinion and is praised by European governments.

Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning the Desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, said: "The Swedish government is expected to seriously consider the principle of responsibility and accountability in this regard while preventing the repetition of insults to sanctities.

Stating that the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, like other Muslims and free thinkers in the world, do not tolerate such an insult and strongly condemn it, Kanaani pointed out: " The Swedish government is expected to seriously pay attention to the principle of responsibility and accountability in this regard while preventing the repetition of insulting the holy things."

In recent years, some European and especially Scandinavian countries have been on the scene of violations and desecration of Muslim sanctities. In the shadow of the support of the Swedish police, the right-wing extremists tried to set fire to the Holy Quran, and Muslim protests were also suppressed.
