Iran Press/ Asia: On the third day of the holy month of Ramadan, three clerics were targeted in a knife attack in the Holy Prophet courtyard of Imam Reza's holy shrine in Mashhad, northeastern Iran.
Following the terrorist attack on three religious scholars and students in the courtyard of the holy shrine of Razavi, Mashhad, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Salahuddin Rabbani, the head of Jamiat-E- Islami (Islamic Society) of Afghanistan in a message extended condolences to the Iranian nation on the tragic event.
"Hearing the news of the terrorist attack on three religious scholars and students in the courtyard of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad, the Islamic Republic of Iran, which resulted in the martyrdom of one and the wounding of two others, has caused deep sorrow and grief.", the message read.

"Such tragic events, which are rooted in the deviant ideas of the Takfiri currents, oblige us more than ever to take the danger of militant extremism seriously.", added the message.
Calling Afghanistan an excellent example of religious tolerance, Rabbani further noted that the Asian Country has unfortunately been the primary victim of extremist groups for almost two and a half decades.
Finally, condemning this terrorist attack, the senior Afghan official offered his condolences to the family of the late martyr Mohammad Aslani, the government, and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and asked the Almighty God to heal the injured in this tragic incident.
