Tehran (IP) - On eve of the holy month of Muharram, the biggest mourning flag of Iran was once again hoisted in Abbas Abad Cultural and Tourism Complex in a ceremony to show that Tehran is in black.

Iran PressIran News: The flag was hoisted on Thursday evening in a ceremony called 'Salaam Bar Muharram.' That is to say, in the ceremony the beginning of the holy month of Muharram was commemorated. 
Mehdi Chamran, the Head of the Tehran City Council, and Mohammad Qomi, the Head of the Islamic Advertisment Organization, were also present and gave a few minutes of speeches about the virtues of mourning during the days of Muharram.
It should be noted that the largest Hosseini mourning flag in Iran, measuring 24x44 meters (1056 square meters) and at a height of 200 meters, on which "Ya Hossein (PBUH)" is written, is hoisted every year on the eve of Muharram in Abbas Abad Cultural and Tourism Complex.
