Russian President’s Press Secretary said that Warsaw should wait for Moscow's response to the seizure of money in the accounts of Russian diplomatic missions in Poland.

Iran PressEurope: Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow will certainly respond to Warsaw for the withdrawal of funds from the Russian Embassy, reports RIA Novosti.

In response to a related question, Peskov confirmed that Russia would retaliate after the action, which was described as a “political gop-stop”.

Earlier it became known that the Polish prosecutor’s office withdrew money from the accounts of the Russian embassy in Warsaw, which caused a negative reaction from Moscow. The head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Poland, Sergei Andreev, said the account was closed and the money was kept in both US dollars and Polish zlotys.

Earlier, Peskov said Poland, in a fit of Russophobia, “hats Russia like crazy.” According to him, all this looks very much like an attack, like hatred. Peskov regards these people as “victims of brainwashing”, but he is sure that this will pass in time.

Also, earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said the confiscation of Russian assets from individuals and companies is an unlawful act, "a theft which can not be supported by any legal basis."
