Iran Press/ Iran News: Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health announced that so far, 173,823 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 134,349 of total infected people have recovered.
Kianoush Jahanpour on Monday, June 8 about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus said, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to June 8 in the country, 2,043 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 173,823."
Jahanpour said that 713 people from 2,043 new patients were hospitalized.
Fortunately, 136,360 patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals so far, Health Ministry spokesman added.
The Spokesman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 70 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 8,351 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
He stated, "2,619 patients are in a critical condition at the moment."
So far, around 1,107,254 million COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokesman said.
Khuzestan is still in the red situation, and the provinces of Hormozgan, Kurdistan, East Azerbaijan, and West Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, Sistan and Baluchestan, Bushehr, and Khorasan Razavi are on alert.
