IP- The Minister of Economy has announced that Iran has successfully cemented its position in the World Bank and expanded regional diplomacy during the recent Morocco meeting.

Iran PressAfrica: Seyed Ehsan Khandouzi, accompanied by Ali Fekri, Deputy Minister and Head of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Hosseinzadeh, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Commission of the Parliament, Dr. Ayatollah Ebrahimi, CEO of Sepah Bank, and Dr. Seyed Rahmatullah Akrami, General Treasurer, traveled to Morocco to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) from October 9-15.

According to Shada, during his participation in the World Bank's annual meeting in Morocco, Ehsan Khandouzi expressed his satisfaction with Iran's renewed presence after several years of absence.

He utilized this opportunity to strengthen Iran's position within the bank. In a post on the X platform, he highlighted how bilateral talks with ministers of economy from Qatar, Pakistan, Syria, and Libya, as well as with the head of the Islamic Development Bank, contributed to expanding regional diplomacy.

This achievement marks an important milestone for Iran's economic relations on an international scale.
